AQUA CLASS - Group A

WELCOME TO RECEPTION - SEPTEMBER 2023

Thank you to those who have attended our induction meeting and we hope you found it informative. To ensure a smooth transition for both you and your child, we are now informing you of the induction timetable. Your child will be in Aqua class with Mrs Chaukria and Mrs Aston.

Your child will be invited to attend a settling in session on Wednesday 12th July 2023 from 9-11am.

This will provide children with the opportunity to meet with staff and their peers. Please bring your child into their new classroom through the playground green gate and into the Reception door. Once children are settled, we will ask you to leave them so that they can get to know the staff and their new friends in class. You are welcome to join other parents/carers in the KS2 hall for tea and coffee once you leave them. This is a great opportunity for you to get to know each other as parents/carers. There will also be opportunities for you to ask any questions to senior leaders who will be available to talk to. However, there is no expectation for you to stay and you can choose to leave and collect your child at their pickup time. After tea and coffee, you will then be invited to join your child in their classroom.

Reception starters will have an initial staggered and part time induction to prepare them to be in school full time from Tuesday 12th September 2023.

Your child will attend the following staggered induction dates:

Wednesday 6th September 2023 8:55am - 1:30pm (School lunch will be provided)
Friday 8th September 2023 8:55am - 3:20pm (School lunch will be provided)
Tuesday 12th September 2023 onwards 8:55am - 3:20pm (Full Time)

It is vital that you are familiar with these start dates and have familiarised yourself with the school setting. Children will enter the school premises through the main gate and be greeted by staff at the Reception door. Following a swift goodbye, members of staff will then take children to their classrooms. We know a child’s first day at school is a huge milestone and we will do all we can to ensure everyone has a smile on their face. Children are to wear school uniform and bring a named book bag and water bottle.

Thank you for your support in helping to settle the children into our school. We look forward to working with you and your child at this important time. If you have any questions, please contact the school.

Yours Sincerely,

Miss G McCulloch
